Tree: An Inevitable Friend

If one day the trees could speak,

They’d say very mean things;

I love you and you love me,

Yet they'd say very mean things.

Human life exists within and withal nature. God has inscribed the fantastic sync between the humans and nature. This nature is avail to humans in multiple forms but among it, the most alleviating form is the trees. It is thoroughly unimaginable to think of life without trees.

Trees, the unsung heroes of our environment, are the substantial part in our daily mode. Starting from building shelters or providing foods to daily earning, trees play a pivotal role in sustaining healthy global environment. Most importantly, these largest and longest living organisms on earth, purify the air out of pollution and supply us our life breath – oxygen. Breathing lot of water vapour, trees help to cool the air encouraging more and more rain crowds. Trees help to protect the surface soil of the earth and to prevent floods. On the other hand, trees provide valuable rubber, paper, firewood, medicines etc. which we use for innumerous purpose.

But do we really care for all those, who provide us all the conveniences at the every walks of life? Do we make special efforts to obstruct our mean aspects of protecting trees? What would they say if they speak up one day? As the famous song says, “they would say mean things”!

Withstanding the debt we owe to trees, its emotive power and importance to other forms of life, we should stop treating them in a cruel manner. The forested area of the earth is steadily being depleted. This in turn is leading to the degradation of the environment and the extinction of many species.

A real danger cropping up is that in the near future man will destroy a large proportion of the present population of these valuable species, creating an uninhabitable environment and then will die out himself. If this happens, it will not be the first time that a large proportion of the species on the earth have been extinguished!

Trees are our prime resource of wealth. It is our moral duty to consider trees’ importance and perform our sacred duty to protect them and look after them well.
